Rapid Strain Gauge Panel Meter
VGM series
SPC function enables monitoring at 4 points in pressurization process!
Suitable for press fitting, caulking and molding!
- Measurement at any 4 points during pressurization process improves the accuracy of Go/No-Go judgment significantly.
- Lower in cost compared to pressure waveform data comparators.
- Initial peak removal function enables comparative measurement without counting irregular peaks that may appear when contacting the work.
- 3 types of output: Analog 4-20 mA, 0-10V and BCD are available.
- Peak hold function
"A type" that shows the peak value at all times or "B type" that shows peak per shot can be selected. - Digital zero function
This function determines the value displayed immediately before as "zero". - Tracking zero function
This function corrects the internal zero shift digitally and automatically. - Pattern select function
Up to 4 patterns of comparison can be set.
Clear Initial Peak Function
To exclude sudden input from counts when contacting work, Clear Initial Peak function is provided.
This function enables comparison while ignoring initial peak values that are not necessary as the condition for comparison.
It is also useful if effective maximum load falls short of the initial peak value like when the maximum load is held at all times.
The time period ("T" in the figure) for clearing initial peak can be set as desired. This allows comparative measurement suitable to the system to be used.
Peak Hold Function
This function displays the peak of the load value. Two types A and B are available. A type displays the peak value at all times, whereas B type shows peak per shot.
Peak hold A is of free run type. It holds the peak value until the PH terminal signal is open or level "1" is reached. In the case of right figure, the second peak of point B is ignored and the first of point A will be held until a value more than the point A.
Peak hold B type displays the maximum load value shot by shot.
While the PH terminal signal is open or level is "1", the peak value is kept being held. However, the display will not follow it and will be displayed at each fall of PH terminal.
In the case of right figure, the third peak of point F is ignored because PH terminal is 0, and the peak at point G will be displayed.
Digital Zero Function
This function determines the value displayed immediately before as zero.
Display thereafter will be as follows:
(Input value − Digital zero value) = Displayed value
Where this function is useful!
This function is effective when there is a preload such as the weight of jig is on the load cell. Use of the digital zero function ignores the weight of the jig and detects the load only, thus ensuring correct measurement.
Comparison Result Check Function
This function allows the results of comparison to be checked when the SPC function is used.
Press S + ▲ while the SPC function is working. The results of comparison C1 to C4 finished so far can be checked. The pattern number area shows the comparison number and the main display shows measured value when comparison has been carried out. Comparison area shows the set values of comparison C1 to C4. Each time the ▲ button is pressed, the selected number changes.
When judged as NG due to an abnormal pressure, this function is useful for identifying the point where the abnormal pressure occurred among C1 to C4 in the process immediately before.
Pattern Select Function
This function allows the user to set up to 4 patterns of comparison C1 to C4 and select them as desired.
Up to 4 patterns of comparison C1 to C4 can be set. Since patterns can be switched easily by shorting the external circuits, changes to the comparative setting values when changing the work can be reduced significantly. (It is also possible to switch patterns via the front keys according to the condition data setting.)
Tracking Zero Function
This function corrects zero-shift internally and automatically. It works when the digital zero works.
Checks the measured value at the preset correction cycle, and corrects it to zero if within the correction range. Correction cycle and range can be set as desired. (See figure at right.)
Correction cycle = 3 samples, When correction range = 3 digits
①Digital zero and tracking zero functions start. Display is zero because the measured value is within the correction range.
②③Displayed values are within 3 digits, and therefore corrected to zero.
④No correction because the measured value is out of correction range.
⑤Displayed value is again within 3 digits, and corrected to zero.
